METHODOLOGY APPROACH
OUR SECTOR FOCUS

Quantitative Research

Quantitative market research is numerically oriented, requires significant attention to the measurement of market phenomena and involves statistical analysis. This approach will provide quantitative information that can be analyzed statistically.

Face-to-face Surveys
We have developed effective procedures for all components of field surveys, including identifying sample units in the field, selecting and training field staff, developing fieldwork manuals, supervising field interviewing, converting refusals and minimizing non-response rates, implementing effective quality control, and managing project administration and reporting.

Telephone Surveys
We have the expertise and facilities required for telephone research. We provide efficient, high quality data collection (including CATI – computer assisted telephone interviewing) that is flexible enough to meet the needs of any organization. The personal contact associated with telephone surveys allows for an increased level of probing and clarification that is essential to quality data collection.

Qualitative Research

At UBO Consulting, our experts understand when to use qualitative research with clients who need to gain an in-depth understanding of how customers are reacting. We help clients with a range of qualitative research methods: focus groups, in-depth interviews, observational techniques, consumer insight, and customer satisfaction. We employ a wide range of qualitative methodologies, and choose the perfect blend to suit the parameters of each project we work on.

Focus groups
One of the best known techniques is the market research focus group discussion. Focus groups are a valuable research tool to rapidly collect qualitative data by observing the interactions in a group of respondents. UBO Consulting has extensive experience conducting high-quality focus groups with targeted populations across various sectors and regions.

In-depth interviews
The in-depth interview is a technique designed to elicit a vivid picture of the participant’s perspective on the research topic. The researcher’s interviewing techniques are motivated by the desire to learn everything the participant can share about the research topic.

Observational techniques
Observational techniques allow investigation of phenomena in their naturally occurring settings. Observation consists of observing behavior and interactions as they occur, but seen through the eyes of the researcher. The intention is to 'melt into the background' so that an outsider presence has no direct effect on the phenomena under study.
